Wilmington Job Corps Graduates Armed To Face New Challenges

More than two dozen Wilmington Job Corps Center students, graduated from the center’s program on February 22, 2011.All four vocational training areas were represented. They were the first graduating class of 2011.
Delaware Governor Jack Markell was the keynote speaker.
He commended the graduates on their determination to finish the program and he challenged them to stay hungry and remain willing to learn new skills.
Governor Markell also challenged the graduates to continue to reach for success, so others who come behind them will be motivated to start what they finish and reach for more.
In their own collective voices, the graduates lauded their decisions to attend Job Corps, after high school proved to be the wrong environment for them.
