On August 22, 2011, the Wilmington Job Corps Center 2011 Academic Olympics participants thought and fought their way to a 1st place win in the first round. There were a total of six Job Corps centers who represented Region II in the competition. 

The Wilmington  team consisted of six individuals who competed in areas of math, spelling, social studies, science and  language arts. The Wilmington contenders won by three points over the second place team. They will now move on to the finals, which will be held on October 12, 2011 in Ocean City. MD.  Let’s go team!!!
