Mayor James Baker visited the Wilmington Job Corps Center on Sept. 24, 2010. His message to the students included furthering their education, respecting cultural differences and treating everyone with dignity and respect. He also commended the students for their decision to enroll in the program, for this was an opportunity to complete their GED/High School Diploma along with a vocational trade.
The Mayor provided a question and answer session for both staff and students alike. This is the third consecutive and last term for the Mayor. He is a strong supporter of the center and it’s activities.
