In January of 2010, BCL invited the Human Resources Manager from Lowes to provide a presentation to our students at the Monday Morning Business Meeting. The H.R. Manager wanted to partner with our center to hire our students for varied type seasonal positions.
The on-line application was explained and encouraged and she requested that the BCL provide her a weekly update of all center students who had applied.
Lowe’s to date, has hired one of our Office Administration students and has made a committment to hire additional qualified candidates. There are several stores in nearby locations which are easily accessible by public transportation.
