In an effort to “give back” to the community, the outgoing Student Government Association Officers of the New Haven Job Corps Center, voted to assist the West Rock Community Center’s afterschool program after hearing they had difficulty obtaining funding for games for local youth.   SGA President, Jayson Stillwell stated, “We didn’t have to think twice when we saw this need.  We are just glad we had this opportunity to help our neighboring Community Center.”      

The SGA gave $800 worth of educational board games including a Wii sport system, controllers and games for ages five to adult were graciously accepted by Edith Peters, Program Manager for the Community Center.  The games will be used for their newly developed after school program.
