New Haven Job Corps Has Record Donation for Blood Drive

American Red Cross Blood Drive – Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) students worked together recently, with the staff of the American Red Cross, to insure the comfort of donors during a recent blood drive hosted by the New Haven Job Corps Center.  Set up began at 6:00 am to prepare for the first set of donars scheduled to arrive at 8:00 am.  Students registered a record 75 donors, assisted staff during the donation process, and ensured donors were escorted safely to the “canteen” where juice and snacks were offered.  “I love helping at the blood drives”, said Jarred Conyers, C.N.A. student who was busy at the registration table.  “It gives me a totally different perspective on working in the health industry.”
