On Friday September 10th the staff and students of the Montgomery Job Corps Center held a ceremony in honor of the victims of 9/11. The ceremony was opened with a slide presentation that presented before and after pictures of Ground Zero and several other sites affected by this horrific terrorist attack. The slide presentation was folllowed by the reading of an original poem written by one of our very own students. After the heartfelt poem was read, ACT student Candance Caldwell sang a wonderful rendition of “America the Beautiful”. As the culmanating end to this ceremony the entire staff and students walked out to the The Flowering Cherry Tree where numerous red, white, and blue balloons were released in honor of this great place we call America and to pay tribute to the victims and their familys.
