U.S. Navy Chief Warrant Officer Marcos enrolled in the David L. Carrasco Job Center, in El Paso, Texas, hoping to make a better life for himself. He was concerned about facing a future of crime and poverty. While enrolled he:
Earned his high school diploma
Completed the Electronics Assembly Course
Participated in Student Government Association and Leadership Training program
Graduated in June, 1999
Upon graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Today, he is attending flight school in Pensacola, Florida, to become a U.S. Navy pilot. He was the Center’s commencement speaker at the June 11th graduation ceremony.
