Today we had the pleasure of meeting with Congresswoman Veronica Escobar to present her with the 2022 National Job Corps Association Leadership Award. The David L.Carrasco Job Corps appreciates the Congresswoman’s support.

Trish Jones-Mondero, Outreach and Marketing Director for Odle, along with Rose F. Guerrero, Center Director presented Congresswoman, Veronica Escobar with a unique custom made rose that was designed and created by our very own welding class. The rose was designed on a stand with a business card and pen holder. Our culinary students sweetened the surprise with some freshly baked cake pops along with an award that had the congresswomen overjoyed and grateful.

Our students were proud to discuss their academic and trade accomplishments and explain what Job Corps has done for them and their future to Congresswoman Escobar. We hope this encourages our students to continue their path of success.
