Blue Ridge students participated in one of the most important events for Smyth County on October 13, 2010.  25 students and staff volunteered to help all countyand town law enforcement, emergency squads, life saving crews, hospitals, urgent care, and other agencies in portraying an actual disaster plan.  Students aided (acted) as nurses, victims and volunteers that unveiled the disaster relief efforts for the entire county.  Students were recognized and thanks by town and county officials for their participation.
