Woodstock Job Corps Commencement: “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It”

On Monday, June 8, 2015 Woodstock held a commencement ceremony
for the Class of 2015 at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium. A total of eighteen
students walked across the stage.
Following a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner by
Woodstock student Cassandra Talbott, Mrs. Johnson, Center Director,
provided opening remarks. Tony Baysmore, Special Assistant to the
Baltimore County Executive, and Fran Allen, District Director for
Congressman Elijah Cummings, offered their words of encouragement to
graduates followed by the keynote speaker, Joe Jones, President and CEO
of the Center for Urban Families in Baltimore.
Former Woodstock Center Director, Tanisha Nixon, led the presentation
of appreciation before students received their diplomas.
The day was a wonderful celebration of student accomplishment and
success and Woodstock staff and students are very proud of all our
graduates. Congratulations and best of luck to you all!
