This month’s Community Relations Council (CRC) meeting was a joint CRC meeting that was spearheaded by Woodland’s BCL , Jobina Brown where she reached out to Woodstock and Potomac Job Corps Centers to have a meeting of the minds.
Some of the things that were discussed in the meeting were: JTM requirements, WBL opportunities, Job Shadowing, and Y2Y activities just to name a few.

“Having all of the local centers come together to participate in this meeting was monumental but also something that needs to be done more often as we all service some of the same students. For me it’s not about whose center does what but what can we all do together,” stated Ms. Brown.

Woodland looks forward to having the ongoing dialogue with the all of the guests that attended from the businesses, community leaders, media, and elected officials that attended.

The next meeting will be in January, 2016.
