On Saturday, August 7th, students Latrice Howard, Benjamin Bell and Teshanna Mills joined over 50 Baltimore City based businesses and training programs as they recruited interested attendees during Congressman Elijah E. Cummings annual “Alternative Pathways to Success” held at Coppin State University.
Students answered various questions from perspective applicants and members of the community. Each one of the students was pleased with the opportunity to interact with others as this helps them develop their interview skills. Each time students interact with members of the public, their individual self esteem is elevated one more notch.
“What we are doing here today is to break down some walls and to build up some bridges” said the Congressman during the Ceremony opening.
Woodland students also had an opportunity to share their experience with the Congressman before returning to the Woodland Job Corps Center table.
