Woodland Job Corps Center students and staff stepped up to assist in the American Red Cross Blood Drive. Over 40 potential donors showed up Monday, June 21st. The Red Cross supplies approximately 45% of the nation’s supply and we are proud to have our students and staff be a part of this. Although a simple thing to do, our students felt that they made a big difference in someones life.
Students learned the facts and the importance of donating:
- Every minute of the day someone needs blood.
- When someone donates they join a very selective group
- Currently 3 out of every 100 people in America donate
