The Woodland Inn is a mock up of an actual hotel front desk and guest room. The Hotel and Lodging students hone customer service skills and practice content skills such as housekeeping, security, concierge services, reservations, front desk services, and managerial processes and duties.
The Hotel and Lodging students practices exemplary guest service at the Woodland Inn. Reservationist on duty prepare to check the guest’s credit card during check in procedures, take phone reservations, and learn how to handle guests’ special room request. Guestroom Attendants prepare the room to receive guests and provide evening turn-down service.
Woodland Job Corps students and staff enjoy the interactive experience they receive from the Hotel and Lodging mock up and how the students are able to present a professional image while practicing their skills.
