Wind River Job Corps Students Speak with Wyoming’s Senator John Barrasso
Wind River Job Corps students in Riverton had the opportunity to show their appreciation to Senator John Barrasso today (Tuesday) at the President’s week meeting of the local Rotary Club. Nationally recognized birthdays of Presidents Washington and Lincoln were honored at the meeting.
As the keynote speaker for the meeting, held at Central Wyoming College’s Inter Tribal Center, the Senator shared his views on events in Washington as well as answered questions. Audience inquiries ranged from the costs of medical care and concerns about opioid problems, to coal and uranium prospects for Wyoming and a possible role in Space Force.
Dr. Barrasso is keeping very busy traversing the state this upcoming week as he speaks to Wyoming residents and discusses their concerns.
The Rotary Club’s “warm-up act” for Senator Barrasso was Girl Scout Bree Tolstedt, who spoke on service projects her troop provides. These projects are supported in part by cookie sales that are currently ongoing.
