Whitney Young Students helping to Save Lives

Whitney Young Job Corps students participated in a blood drive on August 7th to help save lives. The American Read Cross and Whitney Young Job Corps partnered to coordinate a blood drive in which the health trade students were able to not only give blood, but also help with the intake process. John Davis, Account Manager with Donor Recruitment, was very pleased with the success of the participation and plans to make Whitney Young Job Corps a quarterly resource destination. Giving the students and staff more opportunities to give back to the community and saving lives, and giving the healthcare industry trade students experience with customer service. The American Red Cross collected approximately 50 pints of blood.
