Whitney M Young Job Corps Student, Bradley Esco Going To The National Oratory Competition in Washington, DC.

Bradley Esco is a 22 year old student from Winder, Georgia. He entered the Whitney M. Young Job Corps program, located in Simpsonville, KY, on January 26, 2010. Esco is studying to be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and plans to be an Emergency Medical Technician upon completion of the program. Bradley has participated in the student mentoring program and held the office of President. Bradley’s greatest accomplishment in Job Corps is attaining his GED. The Whitney M. Young Job Corps program is currently operated by Horizons Youth Services.

We are proud to announce that Bradley Esco from the Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center was selected to represent the Job Corps program at the second annual National Job Corps Student Oratory Competition on November 19, 2010 in Washington, D.C. at the U.S. Department of Labor Great Hall (1st floor). Mr. Bradley Esco was chosen among nearly 40 student entries from across the country.

On November 19th, Bradley Esco will present his live speech in front of U.S. Department of Labor officials and other distinguished Administration officials. The National Job Corps Student Oratory Competition encourages creative writing and public speaking among our students while capturing the stories of their incredible journeys from a place of hopelessness and despair to a place of courage, confidence and newfound opportunities.
