Whitney M Young Job Corps Center Students learn the power of one vote

Whitney M Young Job Corps students get a lesson in voting while the Republican Party goes through the presidential primary election process. On Monday, January 30th the NAACP president of the Louisville chapter, Mr. Raoul Cunningham, came to Whitney Young to speak to over 300 eligible voters between the ages 18-24. His comments concerning the importance and right to vote caught the attention of many students. Towards the end of his presentation he shared with the student body that registration forms were available for completion. That day the state of Kentucky gained approximately 30 new voters in addition to those already registered. Every vote counts. We will continue to educate our students about the power of one vote and teach them to exercise their citizen rights.
