Joseph Green from Fishersville, Kentucky enrolled with Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center on May 14,2019. Joseph entered the Welding program at Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center as a previous high school graduate of Spencer County with an active driver’s license. During his time as a student, Green mastered his craft and certification in MIG Welding, Flux Core, and SMAW. Green begin his career as Fabricator/Welder at Wire Crafter  located in Louisville, Kentucky, January 2020 making $16.50 an hour. As of today, Joseph has received two pay raises and currently make $17.90 an hour. Green hopes to continue his career for the next four years within Wire Crafter and eventually certify in Welding Inspection, advancing as a Welder Inspector. As a alumni of Whitney M young Job Corps Center, Green reminds his fellow peers and colleagues “Suffer a little bit now but live better later.”
