Ms. Amberlyn N. entered the Job Corps program on June 8, 2008.  Although she had completed her High School diploma, this young lady came to Job Corps with little or no direction in life. Amberlyn found a new life through Job Corps. Accomplishments included her becoming an integral member and leader of the center’s Outreach Committee; producing newsletters, assisting with the weekly tour, and participating in many outreach events. In addition, she completed the Pharmacy Technician program but Amberlyn wanted more. Advanced Training was next on the agenda. She successfully completed the E.M.T. program through the New Haven Job Corps. Still moving forward Amberlyn was selected to be a “team leader” with the F.E.M.A.’s disaster relief team and is being deployed to Alabama! Amberlyn N.: A Real Student Success Story!!!
