On September 9th, seven of Turner Job Corps Center Culinary Arts student employees had the privilege of catering to the City of Albany First Responders at Monroe Comprehensive High School. The seven student employees looked incredible in their chef attire as they walked into Monroe Comprehensive High School, ready to serve the City of Albany First Responders with their delicious food. The student employees and Chef Leon Mathis prepared a fruit tray, a vegetable tray, ham and cheese sandwiches and pinwheels, turkey and cheese sandwiches and pinwheels, sausage, eggs, and delicious cinnamon rolls and more sweet treats!
As the students walked into Monroe Comprehensive High School, a few were nervous, but they were encouraged by other student employees that the nervousness would go away. They assured them not to look at it like a job, but remember that it’s your passion! The student employees were excited to serve the City of Albany First Responders with 5-Star services. Many First Responders asked who catered the event and wanted more than one plate.
The student employees are truly grateful for the opportunity and look forward to catering more events! They left Monroe Comprehensive High School knowing everything was top-notch, from the service to the food! They also want to thank the administrative staff at Monroe Comprehensive High School & the City of Albany First Responders!
