Albany, GA and many of our local communities have experienced an unprecedented “shift” in its leadership and legislative landscape in the last year. Our current Mayor, Dr. Willie Adams, who has been a supporter of the Job Corps system for many years, announced that he would not run for a new term.  The city of Albany also hired a new city manager and a downtown manager as well. With this significant change in this city’s leadership structure, the center quickly recognized the need for an event that would allow the new leadership to begin to build a relationship with the TJCC Leadership team and build new community connections.

 On November 16^th the Community Relations Council hosted a Center Director’s Legislative Reception at one of Albany’s premiere attractions, the Flint RiverQuarium. Well attended by member of the ETR Corporate team, the TJCC Leadership team, CRC partners, and local officials and city leaders, the event was a great success and helped to solidify developing relationships with state and local government officials.
