TIJCC/Advanced Culinary student featured on KTVU “Bay Area People”
Shawntae did a great job of sharing some “tidbits” about the center and the advanced Culinary program. We even had mouthwatering pictures of her final project for the baking and pastry class -a wedding cake and some desserts- shown on the very short segment. They looked delicious!
Ms. Chu was kind enough to provide a platform for us to share the positive message about the existence of our Bay Area Jewel- Treasure Island Job Corps and allowed us to express to her viewing audience a few nuggets of how we participate in training, preparing and placing youth for jobs in the Bay area and beyond.
All in all, it was a wonderful experience which reiterated the importance of what the Job Corps programs do. Thank you Ms. Chu for allowing us to talk about our very own center- the Number 1 Job Corps in the nation!
Look forward to MORE positive nuggets and information showcasing our students and staff in a variety of other avenues. Please keep the positive news flowing about our Jewel of A Center on Treasure Island!
