Last week, Frank Fallon and the Painting students had the opportunity to visit District Council 16 International Union of Painters and Allied Trades in San Leandro. The painting class took a tour of their training center and learned more about DC 16 certified apprenticeship and training programs. Student Aguilla Woods said that “I learned to make connections with people and always ask questions because it will make it easier to understand what you’re doing, and make sure you’re doing the best job anyone can do.” This tour of DC 16 was very beneficial for our painting students. They now realize that they have numerous employment opportunities with DC16.
