Trapper Creek Students Mentor Local Middle School Students!

On Wednesday October 26, six Trapper Creek EDGE students along with two TEAP Counselors visited Hamilton Middle School to discuss drug and alcohol use with their Health classes.  EDGE is a group of leaders who act as student counselors for other students with addiction issues.  Their motto is, “How High Can You Get?” and the group focuses on getting high on life.  “The Trapper students we took to Hamilton Middle School today did a wonderful job talking to students about drugs and alcohol.  They were appropriate and honest.  I was very impressed by their professional behavior”, quoted Jon, a TEAP counselor.   Each of the six Trapper students spoke to five different 6th, 7th and 8th grade Health classes.  One student mentioned how they gained a deeper respect for teachers who stand in front of the classroom all day instructing.  The day proved to be very beneficial for all that participated.
