This week, Trapper Creek is hosting the annual guard school training. Numerous employees from multiple Ranger Districts in the area along with many Trapper Creek Natural Resources students and staff will be participating in this educational event. The training encompasses the ins and outs of fire fighting safety, tactics and fire behavior. The week long training proves to be crucial in preparing for the Montana fire season.
We are fortunate to have such a close relationship with our local ranger districts. They provide our students with work-based learning opportunities for multiple trades on center and have even hired full-time seasonal employees from Trapper Creek to be part of their recreation and firefighting teams.
