After completing 3 weeks of critical preseason fire training at their home units covering mandatory agency topics, fire rodeo, fire refreshers, WCT, physical fitness training, crew cohesion, practical drills with fire engines and equipment, etc. The resources on the North and East Zones held a joint fire readiness review on 5/25/2023 at Weber Basin Job Corps center. During this training resources were challenged with two mock fires scenarios, pump testing, apparatus and firefighter readiness inspections. The scenarios included mobile attack, saw line, line dig, spot fire, hose lay, radio communication, and briefings. Evaluations were conducted by overhead from both zones including 1 District Ranger. Resources in attendance were: C26, E361, E371, E641, E631, PT71, PT61, PT41, NZ Fuels

This training opportunity was very beneficial for resource to cross train on different type engines and improve working relationships across the zones/ forest.
