Weber Basin Job Corps hosts crucial Chainsaw Training. Training was provided to multiple FS employees, volunteer/partner organizations, local city municipalities and job corps students. A big thank you to Troy Street Weber Basin Job Corps Forestry Conservation Instructor & Fire Training Specialists for making this year’s chainsaw class happen. This training session was one of the biggest and most successful to date. The training provided went off without a hitch! This just goes to show the benefits of having a diverse program with those who have a desire and passion for the product and the program as a whole. This is a huge undertaking and effort in organization and herding! This year we put 40 students in the class with a healthy mix of FS employees, volunteer/partner organizations, JC Students and city municipalities partners. We plan to continue to grow and build in the future so we can continue this true example of the integration efforts being made between the UWF & WBJC!
