The 53rd Cherokee National Holiday was celebrated in Tahlequah, OK over the Labor Day weekend. Over 100,000 people attended numerous events including a PowWow, parade, state of the union speech by the Principal Chief Chad Smith, art shows and much more. Talking Leaves Job Corps Center participated in the parade, hosted the Fiddling contest, helped with childrens activities and managed can and plastic bottle recycling.
