Seventeen Columbia Basin Job Corps students joined with students across the country in a national commencement day.

Moses Lake Mayor Jon Lane echoed Bedard-Agu, challenging the graduates to pursue their goals, dream big and have a plan.
Lane closed by saying the Job Corps is an important part of Moses Lake, and he is thrilled by what is going on in Moses Lake.
Along with the national commencement, the Job Corps opened its new 136-bed dormitory at the facility. Students will be moving into the $7.3 million building, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to make room for Air Force personnel.
