Recently, state Senators Doug Beck and Angela Mosley visited the St. Louis Job Corps Center and had a little fun meeting with students and spending some time in the welding booth!  Senator Beck had a slight advantage as he spent 34 years as a union pipefitter.  Senator Mosley and her husband Jay Mosley, state Representative, suited up and created metal sculptures to display in their capital offices.  Mr. Ben Mollet, TCU and Welding Instructor, was impressed with Senator Mosley’s efforts and gave her accolades for being a very coachable student!!  Senator Beck has been a strong proponent of technical training and apprenticeships across the state, sponsoring and supporting legislation that points young men and women toward in-demand careers in the construction and building trades.
