St. Louis Job Corps students James Murrell (Painting) and Donnell Thomas (Culinary Arts) met with Congressman Clay at his 7th Annual Congressional Job Fair Harris-Stowe State University. The young men thanked the congressman for putting on the Annual Job Fair and discussed their career plans with him. James and Donnell along with 8 other students attended the event that included 105 participating companies including: The Boeing Company, Toyota, St. Louis City and County Government, World Wide Technology, State of Missouri, Hardees Food System, Emmis Communications, St. Louis Zoo, Centene Corporation, GKN Aerospace, Wells Fargo Advisors, Schnucks, Federal Aviation Administration, Lodging Hospitality Management, Transportation Security Administration, Macy’s, IRS, FBI, Express Scripts, Fire and Police Departments, Hotel and Casino Industries, Education and Healthcare Industries, Clear Channel Radio, Financial Institutions, Centric Group, and UPS. Our St. Louis Job Corps Students put in applications and discussed employment and career options with company recruiters and Human Resource representatives while staff members Jeffrey Taylor (BCL) and Christopher Stanley (CDS) met with company representatives to discuss the Job Corps program, establish linkages and develop pipeline employment opportunities.
