From Left to Right Fred Williams – Student, Andre Holman—STLTV, and Demario Turner Student

St. Louis Job Corps students participated in Groundhog Job Shadow Day activities.   Construction students Fred Williams and Demario Turner wanted to see how construction was used when working in the Television industry.   Andre Holman from STLTV Channel 10, the St. Louis City Community production studio production manager gave them that opportunity.   After meeting the two young men Andre stated that he would like to have more Job Corps students to do internships throughout the year.   The St. Louis Job Corps is now establishing a Work Based Learning internship in security, office administration and building and construction to help on the sets.   Who knows one day the station may have a show about developing your career targeted at youth put on by the St. Louis Job Corps students.
