St. Louis Job Corps student Kaila Moore had a chance to shadow LaWayna Allen from the Missouri American Job Center North Oaks in St. Louis County. Kaila had a chance to participate in a St. Louis County training seminar on Youth Services and learn about all the programs in the St. Louis County. She then had a chance to visit each department and see how the county assists people in search of a new job. Kaila was just the first of a long line of students that North Oaks will be seeing. They are scheduled to start a Work Based Learning internship where students in Office Administration will have a chance to spend two weeks in each of locations three services areas. They will assist in enrolling new clients, help them do a job search and input their data into the system and finally work with the business development section in servicing business looking for employees.
