St. Louis Job Corps Helps with Hip Hop Health Initiative Garden Box Project

Hip Hop Health Initiative: Garden Box project.   Students from the HBI, Carpentry, and Painting trades at the St. Louis Job Corps program helped reconstruct and paint 15 garden boxes for the Hip Hop Health Initiative program.   The program is operated by David Sanders and Kyria Virshelle (Former Miss Black USA) and is a part of the Moving Food program in St. Louis.   The program works with local schools and community organizations to improve youth understanding of healthy living while learning to grow vegetables and local produce.    In all 26 Job Corps student involvement in the program providing carpentry and painting skills.    The program started Mid-May will concluded on November 18th.
