St. Louis, MO – Aug. 3, 2026 — The St. Louis Job Corps Career Center (SLJCC) is proud to announce new community partnerships with the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce. These collaborations will further strengthen the Center’s commitment to preparing local youth for successful careers and providing meaningful opportunities for community engagement.

“These partnerships are a major step forward for our Center and the students we serve,” said Lorraine Lane, SLJCC director. “The support and expertise of organizations like the Heartland St. Louis Black Chamber of Commerce, and the Greater North County Chamber of Commerce will help us create even stronger pipelines to employment, mentorship, and civic involvement for our students. Job Corps succeeds because of our deep connections to the St. Louis community,” Lane continued. “By working with partners who share our mission of economic empowerment and opportunity, we can better serve both our students and city in which they live.”

The two Chambers of Commerce will collaborate with SLJCC on workforce development initiatives, educational programming, and community events, expanding access to resources for young people in the region.

“These partnerships are about more than just opportunity—they’re about hope, inclusion, and building a stronger future for St. Louis,” Lane said. “We look forward to the positive impact these collaborations will have for years to come.”
