2021 St. Louis Job Corps Center graduate Juan Brown is making his mark as an apprentice electrician with the Power Up companies here in St. Louis. Power Up is a subsidiary of KAI Enterprises, a design, engineer and construction company, that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the construction industry. Through the Center’s industry relationship with the Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) Juan was identified as a great candidate for this apprenticeship; CCDI even accompanied Juan to Lowe’s to ensure that he had everything necessary for his first day on the job!! Mr. Terron White, Business Development Manager with Power Up, recently provided a one year update on Juan, confirming that Job Corps industry partnerships are a powerful thing!!
