In late September the Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) held its annual golf tournament, which supports their mission of attracting young men and women from the northern portion of the St. Louis region to careers in the trades. The St. Louis Job Corps Center saw seven graduates move into apprenticeships in 2021 through our partnership with CCDI. Pictured at the tournament reception are Ms. Diana Wilhold, Deputy Executive Director of the Construction Forum, and Ms. Daniella Wartner, former Admissions and Career Transition Services Director at St. Louis Job Corps. Each week the Forum reaches over 10K readers in St. Louis’ construction industry, helping to promote training programs like those available at Job Corps. Effective employer and industry partnerships are key to attracting students to our programs, ensuring mentorship and job placement at the completion of training.
