Akeem Hill, a Job Corps Student returns to the St. Louis Job Corps Center not for more training but as a professional painter.   Akeem is an employee of Overall Painting one of the contracting companies hired in the construction of the new dorms at the Center.    Akeem Hill was hired last June and is currently in his sixth month.   Ms  Marlita Bassett, President of M & E Painting and Overall Painting stated that Akeem is making union wage and is exceeding expectations on his professional skills in work place relations and ethics and his career technical skills meets all expectations of a professional painter.    Overall Painting is a local Minority owned business and union shop.  It was good to see Akeem succeed and return home as a professional painter.
