Job Corps and Missouri Women in Trades (MoWIT) recently joined forces as two MoWIT board members joined the St. Louis Job Corps Center Workforce Council: Rochelle Bell, Owner of RMB Mechanical and Cindy Frank, 41 year Journeyman Carpenter, GF and Superintendent. MoWIT works diligently to advocate for non-traditional persons to enter the trades and then works to provide mentorship and support to ensure their success. Job Corps hopes to recruit more young women and other non-traditional participants into our trades programs (Building Construction Technology, Carpentry, Painting, Plastering, Bricklaying, Cement Masonry, Material Handling and Distribution and Welding) and MoWIT’s partnership will be key to doing this effectively!
