Honoring Our St. Louis Area Veterans
The St. Louis Job Corp Young Professionals culinary team visited the Veteran-Residents of The Joseph Center and helped Lt Matthew A. Goetz USN set up for a Veterans’ Day Celebration.   They set up the dining facility to feed the residents and the guests as well as the presentation locations for the Veterans Service conducted by Lt Goetz Navy Chaplain Candidate.   The service was a team effort between the Navy Recruiting Command, Lt. Goetz and David Irick of Eden Theological Seminary, The Scott Air Force Base Protestant Choir, The Joseph Center, and the St. Louis Job Corps Young Culinary Professionals.   The Ceremony included music, a flag retirement and new flag dedication, and a remembrance of our Prisoners of War and Missing in Action.   Chef Kelly’s Young Professionals help conclude activities by serving the food while Willie Boyd (Culinary Arts student) played music on his guitar.
