Asean Chapman literally and figuratively fills a room!! Although Asean stands about six feet three inches, his ebullient personality often eclipses his stature when he enters the Culinary classroom at the St. Louis Job Corps Center. He hails from Fairview Heights, Illinois but sees himself navigating his way to the Austin, Texas area in the near future to make his mark in BBQ arena along with a St. Louis secret weapon, Gooey Butter Cake!! Asean credits his grandmother with his interest in the Culinary profession. “She always encouraged me to cook with her and she inspired me to be persistent in whatever I pursued.” There is little doubt that Asean has both the skills and the charisma to make a lasting impression on the restaurant industry. So with what he has learned at Job Corps and a little of Grandma’s encouragement, look out Texas!!
