Springdale Job Corps Center is on the search for qualified applicants for the Security and Transportation staff. Security staff is responsible for maintaining safety on center, protecting center property, and transporting students safely.

Chris Furrow, Safety and Security manager, takes his job seriously. “The Security and Transportation staff is entrusted with making sure students travel safely in center vehicles, making sure students get where they need to be, and keeping the center safe and secure,” he said. “My staff consider their role important and they do an exceptional job in keeping things running smoothly.”

“You see the students first thing in the morning, when they might not be the most awake and at their best,” added Security staff member Adam Miller. “It’s my job to make sure the non-residential students get on center on time and in one piece. It’s my job to make sure they get to their work-based learning sites on time. We oversee the documentation that keeps track of students moving on and off center, which is really important in making sure our students stay safe. The Security and Transportation staff has a lot of responsibility.”
