South Bronx Job Corps Provides Gift Giveaway to Neighborhood Kids

On Tuesday, December 21, 2010, the South Bronx Job Corps Student Government Association attended the Tiebout-Valentine-Ryer Avenues Annual Christmas Party at the Saint Simon Stock School to distribute toys to neighborhood children. The event was sponsored by the Tiebout Tenant Block Association.  In pursuit of collecting gifts for over 500 children, the South Bronx Job Corps graciously donated over $300 in toys to the cause. The age ranges for the gifts were 4 – 14 years old. The Christmas program included a welcome, prayer, community choir, remarks from several elected officials, and the opportunity to interact with the neighborhood kids.
