The Center’s new Director, Kevin Haynes along with Administrative Director, Rosalba Vergas (left) and Director of Human Resources, Diana Carabello (right) attended the Newcomers Initiative Event on January 26, 2024. Each of the Career Systems Development (CSD) employees played an instrumental role throughout the 2-hour event.

Mr. Haynes relocated from Detroit Michigan’s Job Corps Academy Center as Deputy Center Director to New York City the first week of December 2023 to begin his role at the SBJCA as the new Center Director. Known for being “A Driver of Change,” Kevin is an advocate for Non-profits and organizations whose mission is to enlist the help of passionate committed leaders who purpose is committed to helping young adults become independent and self-sufficient, tax paying citizens who can contribute positively to society. During the Newcomers Initiative, Mr. Haynes spoke about his operational management vision for the center in 2024 ensuring that the needs of the students, employees and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
