On Thursday, January 25, 2024, Business Community Liaison Beth Gardner was invited to attend an East Bronx a job fair hosted by Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez between 4 and 6PM. During that time Beth set up a table to distribute South Bronx Job Corps enrollment flyers while speaking to young adults from the high school who attended the event. In addition, she was able to meet with the politician to discuss exploring a work-based learning partnership with her Bronx office so that the Office Administrative, Information Technology and Homeland Security students would have an opportunity to receive hands-on training working in an internship or as a volunteer.
