Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center (SNJCC) Security students recently had an opportunity to gain real-life work experience in their trade. The students were employed at the Reno Rodeo, a ten-day event and one of northern Nevada’s biggest annual events. The work opportunity was due to a great relationship with security company Martin-Ross Security and Investigations.
The Reno-Sparks area of Nevada is famous for its many huge annual events and the Reno Rodeo was no exception, with more than 150,000 attendees from June 14-23. The 23 students performed perimeter checks, crowd control, helped with entry point access among other duties typical of the Security field.
SNJCC is extremely proud of its Security students, who will also be helping with other large-scale events throughout the summer.
