On March 29, Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center was presented with a “Real Heroes” award  at the Red Cross Northern Nevada Chapter’s Real Heroes Breakfast. The award was presented because of the extraordinary show of support from our center and students during the Air Races tragedy. The event also recognized responders from the Fallon Amtrak accident, Carson City IHOP shooting, Air Races and the Caughlin and Washoe Drive fires. Approximately 500-600 people attended, including Governor Sandoval and representatives from district Congressional offices.
