Juan Marchany completed the IUPAT Painting Program in November of 2021.   He obtained a job working as a residential painter as soon as he completed. On March 22, 2022, Juan was signed on as an apprentice Bridge Painter with IUPAT District Council #35, and was sworn in to IUPAT Local #577, Boston MA. Juan immediately began working as a Bridge Painter for Prime Coatings and work on several highway overpass bridges until the work was placed on hold due to supply problems.  Juan kept in touch with his Paint Instructor, Tim Yost, as well as his Business Agent, who found a new job opportunity for Juan to work as a commercial painter for Highrise Construction in Burlington, MA.  Because of the skillset that Juan obtained while at Job Corps, he now utilizes those skills and earns a livable wage at $26.43/hour.  He will be able to retire with a pension, and have the benefit of being a member of a union.    ~ Good work Juan! ~
